ATA Flash modules are high capacity, mass
storage solutions that act like rotating magnetic media but provide the speed and
transportability of solid state devices. Compatible with the ATA-drive standard common to
nearly all desktop and portable computing platforms. Our ATA Flash products support full
IDE hard disk emulation with bootable capability while using less than 10% of the power
required by conventional rotating media.
The PCMCIA (PC Card) ATA interface allows these modules to be used in
any host system that supports the ANSI ATA C3T10 standard and the ATA extension such as
DOSTM, WindowsTM
and MacintoshTM based platforms, as well
as sufficiently equipped UNIXTM
workstations and servers. ATA Flash solutions are well suited for embedded and cross
platform data transfer applications.
The use of NAND-based Flash devices provides
true random access and wear leveling algorithms evenly distribute write/erase operations,
maximizing card life.
